
Episode 4 - Deepali Mistry
In this episode, we chat with Deepali Mistry, one of the first Indian female sound engineers in the UK. She shares her experiences of navigating a freelance career as a young woman in a predominantly male industry. Deepali also offers valuable tips and tricks to help jumpstart your career.

Deepali graduated from Birmingham City University in 2022 with a degree in Music Technology. She is now a freelance Broadcast Sound Engineer and Designer, working in Outside Broadcast and Live Music.
When Deeplali is on the job, you can find her managing all aspects of sound at various sporting events across the country (or even globally). She serves as the on-site eyes, implementing the Sound Supervisor's specifications and ensuring that all equipment effectively communicates back to the trucks. (Birmingham City University, 2025)
